I am keenly interested in the position of Wetland Inspection & Compliance Specialist that is being offered by the Department of Environmental Quality in TOWN, STATE. My BA from the University of STATE in Environmental Science and my experiences in my professional life have prepared me for the available position. I can offer a well-developed array of skills and experiences that can make a valuable contribution to the operation.
• My degree encompassed the study of four major points: Ecology, Hydrology, Geology and Meteorology. This gives me a unique perspective on the function of ecosystems and prepares me for work that encompasses a broad perspective.
• I have field experience at Grand Canyon National Park and in southern STATE. I also have lab experience at the University of STATE. I can quickly learn and master the technology needed in the field as well as software needed to analyze data.
• During my university studies I completed level one environmental assessments of abandoned mining/geological testing sites. The results were documented with a concise electronic report and PowerPoint presentation, which contained a risk analysis and recommendations for further inspection.
• As and educator and cultural ambassador in Japan I learned to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people. Successful communication facilitated managing multiple projects and generating timely results.
In addition I offer outstanding organizational skills, which assist me in developing, evaluating and implementing projects and solutions. Because of my unique international experience I have also learned to express complex ideas and concepts clearly and concisely. These qualities, combined with my attention to detail and dedication to duty, should allow me to make a positive contribution to the Department of Environmental Quality.
