I am keenly interested in the position of Water Compliance Specialist that is being offered by the Department of Environmental Quality in TOWN, STATE. My BA from the University of STATE in Environmental Science and my experiences in my professional life have prepared me for the available position. I can offer a well-developed array of skills and experiences that can make a valuable contribution to the operation.
• My degree encompassed the study of various subjects in the environmental sciences. I have coursework in Ecology, Hydrology, and Micro/Macro Biology.
• I have both field and lab experience. I can quickly learn and master the technology needed in the field as well as software needed to analyze data in the lab or office.
• During my university studies I completed level one environmental assessments of abandoned mining/geological testing sites. I am familiar with the processes of technical and compliance inspections.
• As an educator and cultural ambassador in Japan I learned to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people. My skills in intercultural communication are easily transferable to interdepartmental communication.
In addition I offer outstanding organizational skills, which assist me in developing, evaluating and implementing projects and solutions. These qualities, combined with my attention to detail and dedication to duty, should allow me to make a positive contribution to the Department of Environmental Quality.
